To Enable JavaScript for Internet Explorer 5.x or higher

From the browser's Tools menu select 'Internet Options...'
Select the Security tab.
Pick the 'Internet zone' icon.
Push the 'Custom Level...' button.
Scroll down the Settings list to the Scripting item. (You may need to double-click on icons to expand lists.
Under the 'Active scripting' item, choose the Enable radio button.
Push OK and Yes to confirm and close the Security Settings dialog box, then OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.
Refresh the current page.

To Enable JavaScript for Internet Explorer 5.x - Macintosh

From the browser's Edit menu select 'Preferences...'
Within the left-hand pick list, expand the item group Web Browser (if necessary).
Under the item group labeled Web Browser, select Web Control.
Check the box labeled Enable JavaScript and push the OK button to close the Internet Explorer Preferences dialog box.
Refresh the current page.

To Enable JavaScript for Firefox

From the browser's Tools menu select 'Options...'
Click the Content tab.
Check the 'Enable JavaScript' box.
Click OK.
Reload the current page.

To Enable JavaScript for Chrome

From the browser's Tools menu (wrench-looking button) select 'Options'
Click the Under the Hood tab.
Click 'Content settings...' button.
Click 'JavaScript' tab.
Select 'Do not allow any site to run JavaScript'.
Click Close to exit the Content Settings window.
Click Close to exit the Google Chrome Options window.
Reload the current page.

To Enable JavaScript for Safari

From the browser's Tools menu (sprocket-looking button) select 'Preferences...'
Click the Security tab.
Check the 'Enable JavaScript' box.
Close the window.
Reload the current page.

The County of Santa Clara, Department of Tax and Collections is pleased to be able to offer you the convenience of making secured online payments using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, debit card or ECheck. The online payment center is administered by FIS PayDirect. To use this service a fee will be assessed by FIS PayDirect at the time of payment and no part of this fee goes to the County. Therefore no part of the service fee is refundable. We encourage you to print and save your receipt. You will receive an email confirmation when paying your bill online if you provide an email address. IMPORTANT: Some accounts paid in full by debit card or ECheck may incur a 15 day hold period before notification of your account being paid in full is provided to the Court which in turn will authorize DMV to release a driver’s license hold. It is the cardholder’s responsibility to know whether they are paying using a credit card or debit card. Payments by debit cards or ECheck payments inadvertently used instead of a credit card payment will not be cancelled nor intercepted by the Department of Tax and Collections or FIS PayDirect to permit re-payment by credit card.

If paying by checking/savings account please confirm account number and bank transit number before submitting payment. Any payment that is not honored by your bank for any reason (including incorrect bank account or transit number) may be subject to a nonsufficient funds fee.

"MR-" preceding your address number indicates we have received mail returned from this address. You may update your address and contact information under the section titled: "Client Account Information".

Information provided in the"Client Account Information" fields should correspond to and will update the information on your account maintained by the Department of Tax and Collections.
